About Me
My path into web design wasn’t linear — and I think that’s what makes it interesting. Before becoming a designer, I worked in mobile phone retail and digital advertising sales in Japan, where I learned firsthand how businesses think about marketing and why good design actually matters to the bottom line.
That commercial instinct followed me when I joined a Japanese web production company as a web designer. I wasn’t just pushing pixels — I was designing with an understanding of the client’s goals, their customers, and what needed to convert.
From there, I moved to the Philippines, working in Microsoft Advertising customer support. Operating in English every day, solving complex product issues for clients across different markets, I became comfortable navigating ambiguity — and became fluent in the kind of cross-cultural communication that remote and international work demands.
Today, I freelance remotely for Japanese clients, managing full website projects end-to-end — from visual design and WordPress development to ongoing marketing strategy. I’m now setting my sights on Australia, where I want to bring this mix of design skill, business sense, and multicultural experience to a creative team.
